Potato Chips and Hamburgers are the perfect combo for any picnic or food feast, and now we know why. Check out how the BBQ Pit Boys make ‘em, the way chips and burgers were meant to be. They are great eating for kids of all ages and better yet, they are real easy to grill on the barbecue!
The BBQ Pit Boys show you the “tips and tricks” to help you easily serve up the “best steak anywhere”, the Rib Eye Steak. What makes the Rib Eye #1 for many? The Rib Eye steak, or ribeye, also known as the Delmonico or Scotch Fillet (Australia), is a beef steak from the small end of the rib roast. When the Rib Eye section of the beef is cut into steaks, it is one of the most popular, tender and juiciest steaks available. This is because the meat from the rib section is tender and fattier or “marbled” more than most other parts of the steer. This extra fat makes Rib Eye steaks and roasts especially tender and flavorful. The Rib Eye steak is usually served bone-in, particularly at high quality steakhouses -the extra moisture and fat alongside the bone enhances the flavor. So get yourself some 1 to 11/2 lb and 11/2″-2″ thick Rib Eye steaks –and then go “fire up” that BBQ grill of yours -it’s time for some real STEAK On The Barbecue. Sofia’s playable mermaid cake (Jan 2012) Mike says: “It’s become a family tradition that I make increasingly ridiculous birthday cakes for my kids each year. So with my little boy Ben turning 6-years-old over the weekend, and appreciating his love of Angry Birds, I thought I’d have a shot a making him a playable Angry Birds birthday cake with working catapult and iced birds as ammunition. It took 10 hours to make and 2 minutes to destroy!” Find out how to make your own with Mike’s step-by-step guide at www.electricpig.co.uk Read an exclusive interview with Mike at www.bizgene.com Video Rating: 4 / 5
In this video, Betty demonstrates how to help a child enjoy cooking by helping her grandson, Carter, make cupcakes for his birthday. Carter is 4 years old today, and he will be celebrating his birthday with his classmates at school today. Carter needed to bring 2 dozen cupcakes for the students and teachers, so I made those, but I made enough batter for Carter to “play” at making and decorating 2 dozen more. My suggestion is that when you are making something like cupcakes with a child of Carter’s age, that you purchase cake mix(es), ready-to-spread frosting, and candy sprinkles. You should do any work with an electric mixer, and have the batter ready before involving the child. Then, you can let the child stir the batter, perhaps spoon some of the batter into baking cups, spread the frosting, and decorate the cupcakes with sprinkles. We decided to make one of the batches by putting a layer of chocolate batter on the bottom and a layer of yellow batter over it, and then using a small knife to “marble” it. You need to handle all of the putting in and getting out of the oven yourself, and be sure to put away sharp knifes, or other instruments. This can be a fun learning experience for the child, but don’t expect the child to do everything perfectly! (I do want to mention that I stated a couple of times that I was using a teaspoon for dipping the batter, when actually it was a tablespoon!) Carter and I had a great time finishing our cupcakes after the end of shooting this … Video Rating: 4 / 5
